My goal is to help owners improve their business by reviewing regular common business fundamentals that tend to get overlooked. Bringing solid financial information to the table coupled with my client's knowledge of their own business we begin making far more sound business decisions that are directed toward driving business value up and lowering stress levels. While reviewing fundamentals seems simple, the reality is most owner-managed businesses are reactionary rather than progressive. The results from these meetings are extraordinary and business becomes a lot of fun.
I successfully wrote the uniform final exam in 2007 and received my Chartered Accountant designation in 2008. My accounting career began with time spent at two smaller local accounting firms followed by six years with a large public accounting firm based out of Alberta covering Central and Western Canada. I’ve spent my entire career dealing with and providing services to owner-managed businesses and sole proprietors. My background leading into accounting was both in a management capacity in the food and beverage industry, and entrepreneurial in working in my family’s grocery store while going through high school.
Outside of work, I’m a married Dad with three young girls, whose extra-curricular activities keep both myself, and my wife on the go. In between work and their activities I enjoy golf and still manage to play hockey in the winter.
